We’re really excited that Canna Real Estate Group will be attending the Women In Cannabis Expo scheduled for Sept 27-29 2021 in Reno, NV.  Our very own Anastasia Pinson will lead our delegation to this amazing event empowering the leadership and strength of women-owned and operated business in the cannabis community.  Women in Cannabis Expo CEO Brooke Westlake is a true friend of the Canna Real Estate Group and it’s going to be a blast!

Ohio-Based Cultivation Client

Canna Real Estate Group is presently working with an established cultivation client located in Ohio.   The client had privately funded the design and construction of this headhouse-greenhouse grow operation with additional room for building expansion on the site.   One of CREG’s preferred senior structured debt partners is working on new valuations for the Property with which we will recapitalize the facility, allowing for capital necessary for expansion.   It’s going to be a great project, stay tuned!

Strategic Partnership with Chicago’s Reed Construction

Canna Real Estate Group is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Chicago’s own Reed Construction.  Reed’s cannabis practice group, led by our friend Michael Machat, has built sophisticated cultivation facilities in multiple states. They’ve also completed award-winning dispensaries to compliment those cultivation facilities.   CREG and Reed have developed design/build standards for spec cultivation facilities throughout use for many of our shared, and our new, clients and client prospects in several emerging and newly-licensed states.

 

 

Got Vert?

One of our more forward-thinking cultivation clients, who have operated in traditional grow facilities for years, is considering “going vertical.”  We’re collaborating with an established vertical-horticulture design and manufacturing company to provide a vertical design for our proposed grow facility in Michigan.  The ceiling height of our proposed facility will permit for three full “levels” of flower canopy.   We’re in early stage design so check back with us (or call us for your needs!) in the coming months.    This could really be cool !

Building Box Within a Box

We were recently in Detroit to look at a 1940’s vintage warehouse as a client there wants to put a cultivation facility there.   So for this build, we realized we’d have to “build a box within a box” meaning that in addition to overhauling and renovating the building shell and roof, we’d then build the cultivation facility within the renovated core/shell.   This could be a mighty undertaking so we’ve asked our friends at Chicago-based Reed Construction (www.reedcorp.com) for some precon advise and concept pricing.   This could be really cool….so stay tuned!

Mass Dispensary Coming Right Along

We were in Central Mass last week to visit one of our favorite clients there.   Our client is busily finishing up tenant improvements on a super cool retail dispensary on a v-e-r-y well traveled arterial.   The property will feature a customer-friendly experience in the retail/showroom/dispensary portion of the building. The rear “back of the house”  portion of the space will feature a super-efficient, drop-tray conveyor system for product order, retail clerk picking, and hands-free product transfer to the customer.   This super-secure, efficient product handling/distribution process will be one-of-a-kind and we CAN’T WAIT to show you !

Multiple Dispensaries in Chicagoland

Canna Real Estate Group was recently engaged by an emerging medical and recreational marijuana “vertical” in Illinois.   The Client goal is to roll out multiple locations in the greater Chicagoland area as well as stores likely downstate too.

Canna Real Estate Group will be collaborating with our award-winning architects and furnishings vendors as well as industry-leading general contractors on this exciting endeavor.   Initially we’ll work with the Client on concept designs and precon pricing so that as we complete site selection for each property, we can quickly deploy design/construction resources.   This method not only assures the team of delivering similarly-branded stores in each location, but the advanced planning also translates into quicker speed-to-market for the Client.

“Ground Up” starts….in the ground

We’ve been working with a few of our clients on several “ground up” projects with both cultivation and dispensary builds.  Sure, a LOT of effort, energy and enthusiasm goes into the planning of these amazing facilities from the “ground up.”  We like to remind our clients and our build teams to pay particular attention to ALL of the civil engineering that goes into rough grade, site prep and bringing utilities to the pad before pour.
